Sheffield Hallam University visit The Garibaldi School
On Monday 12th February, selected students from Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 at the school took part in a range of activities, delivered by Sheffield Hallam University, which were aimed at informing students of potential further study at University. Each session was targeted to a specific year group and was themed around related topics, such as University life and University course programmes, to provide students with a general overview of what is offered in further education. Overall, students found the sessions extremely useful in understanding how they can realise their potential with future study.
One Year 8 student, Jack Lilliman, remarked that “the University gave us lots of useful information about the courses and they made sure we were involved in the activities”.
As a school, we look forward to welcoming back Sheffield Hallam University in the future to deliver sessions to our students.
